Fire Hurts-Red Cross Helps

Where would you turn if you lost everything in a fire?

Established in 1988, the York-Adams County Chapter "Fire Hurts…Red Cross Helps" campaign was created to meet the immediate needs of York-Adams County victims of fire. The Red Cross is also committed to providing community education regarding fire prevention, how to protect yourself in case of fire and the importance of homeowner and renter insurance.

The goal of this year's campaign is to raise $80,000.

Every dollar raised for the "Fire Hurts" campaign is used to provide direct assistance to local families affected by fire in the form of food, clothing and shelter, and other necessities such as replacement of medications and eyeglasses, as well as canteen services to emergency responders on the scene.
